Chess has long been the game of gentleman, geniuses, philanthropists, and other gifted people. This has formed an incredibly wide misconception around the world that only geniuses and gifted people can play the game and it is strictly designed for them.

If someone was asked to name the first things that come to their mind when they hear ‘chess player’, it would be ‘old’, ‘smart’, ‘talented’, ‘genius’, and many other things unrelated to everyday people.  But once again, this is a misconception – it is a false belief injected to people by mass media.

The reality of chess is different – it actually is an incredibly beneficial pastime, because playing chess results in better brain function, improved memory, and cognitive abilities, strategic thinking, and attention improvement.  All of these benefits are directly related to the practice of chess, both in real-life and virtual environments, which means that chess is the answer to the question.

The king represents the bosses of this world; he represents the leaders in society.

He holds the most power and can determine the fate of the chess game of life.  His position can either make or break the outcome of the battle. Yet, he rarely sees any action. The King rarely moves past the first row.

This is because the leaders in this world are too crucial to success to put out on the battlefield, out where expendable pawns go to die.  Instead, the bosses and leaders of this world stay back and have their subordinates take charge out on the battlefield; bosses tell their managers to oversee the regular offices.

The Queen is the King’s general, the person on the battlefield that commands the King’s army.  The Queen is usually the strongest piece on the chessboard, but her strength also burdens her. Because of her strength, she is often overused and when taken, the rest of the army has no idea what to do.

Similarly, in life, managers and generals often burn out, their bosses and commanders overuse and rely too much on them. The Queens of society are often the closest to being in command, work the hardest, but often burn out before they can reach their ultimate goal— being the boss; being the commander.

The Rook is the lapdog of the bosses; the president’s security. Rooks usually work to protect their leader and punish those who seek to undermine their superior.  They stick close to their leader and tend to work better in pairs.

The Rooks of society constantly work to gain their leader’s approval. In society, they often have a lot of power, despite being disliked by others for their clingy nature.  Rooks are the henchmen, the bodyguards, and the devoted followers.

The Bishop is often overlooked, overshadowed by the Queen’s sheer power and the Knight’s special skills.

The Bishops hold a lot of power but are often never noticed. In society, they are the line engineers who should be head engineers of big corporations. Their lack of quirks never allows them to be noticed. Bishops are those in society who should be accomplishing much more, but instead, lead a life of mediocrity.

The Knight might not be the most powerful or the most willing to follow his leader around, but his skill set is unique and gets him the recognition needed to be used frequently.

The Knights of society are the people who are really good at one and only one specific thing.

The Pawn is the everyday worker; he makes up the bulk of society. His powers are generic, yet allow him to shape society.

Though he might not seem like much, when there are a lot of Pawns, large numbers of Pawns can overtake the Kings and Queens of society. Bosses can fire workers, but the workers can also strike.

When the workers strike, their power ends up exceeding that of the bosses; the power in numbers works in their favor.  In fact, when in the right place at the right time, the Pawns can become the most powerful pieces of the game in a heartbeat. And so, the Pawns are the most powerful pieces of the game.

Pawns are the foot soldiers of chess. They can be used to control squares for your pieces to use as posts such as a knight post where the pawn allows you to maintain a knight in the enemy’s camp if there is no way for that pawn to be taken away. In real life pawns represent ordinary men and women attempting to move across the board of life toward eventual initiation into union with the divine.

King is the most important piece & just like real-life counterparts, has to be protected at all costs. This often requires keeping King away from battlefields and perilous situations, where the risk of casualty is very high. As King cannot take active participation in the battle, developers of the game saw it wise to not assign King powerful moves which could potentially expose him to unnecessary danger.

In the game of chess, it is the least powerful piece in terms of the ability to move about the board. It can only take one step at a time, though it can travel squarely or triangularly.

Are you a person looking to wear something unique, chess-themed jewelry?  Adorn yourself with the wonderful ring and represent the deeper self and the divine within us.

This is the most powerful piece on the board having unlimited movement in any of the eight directions. She is the power of Nature, reflecting the light of the King, possessing unlimited potential.  True love is like playing Chess. A bishop is a chess piece with a rounded top and a slot cut into it. These pieces remain upon their own color throughout the game and can only move diagonally.  One bishop travels the path of the head and the other enjoins the path of the heart.  Bishop Sits close to the king in a tight formation with the pawns and attacks the centermost of the time and can even attack long-distance diagonally.

No matter what sport or race you have completed, we can craft you a beautiful piece of jewelry to remember it

The Knight represents the awakening of the spiritual initiate acting in the world. It moves by leaps of intuition along the sides of a right triangle. It alternates between white and black squares with each move, therefore, engaging the head and heart in each action. Only a knight or a pawn can initiate the first move of the game. The knight can make a move that even the Queen cannot make. Whether you are a serious chess player or a person looking to wear something unique, chess-themed jewelry offers a creative way to show off in style.

Rooks are the fortresses of the High-Medieval Era. They have four walls with corners which is why they can’t attack the diagonal.  Their archers can see and attack from great range, but only in front, behind, and to either side; not diagonally.  They are often used best to protect the homeland, back rank, and the higher pieces such as the King or Queen.  Just like an early stone castle’s because of their sharp corners they have blind spots on the diagonals and can be taken by pieces such as the Pawn or Bishop.
