Everything You Need to Know About Baahubali Jewellery Collections! December 2, 2019 – Posted in: Blog, General – Tags:

The Baahubali fever is all around. Our very own epic, high-scale drama and of course the most pressing question of all times – Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali? But, amidst all the mystery and wonderment, wars and conflicts between the royalties, the grandeur and glamour, the astonishingly beautiful set and high-end visual effects, there’s something that caught our attention. The unique and grand collection of jewellery that the female and male characters in the movie wore. Yes, we are biased towards jewellery! But, you’ll agree with us if you took time to notice that each of the 1000 pieces of jewellery used in the movie was a true gem. Yes, 1000 pieces. No kidding!

Jewellery has a very significant role to play in an epic movie such as Baahubali. They make the characters more authentic and believable. Considering what the first part of this magnanimous movie did to us all, a lot of the credit must go to the jewellery designers of the film. The jewellery of every character was bang on – they spelled royalty, elegance and style.

The entire jewellery collection of Baahubali was hand-crafted, and therefore, their intricate detailing and elegance don’t come as a surprise to us. Some of the jewellery pieces worn in the movie were designed in a team effort by the craftsmen and artists of the Jaipur-based Amrapali Jewels and the Baahubali team. Amrapali was the official jewellery designer for the second series of the movie, which handcrafted over 1500 jewellery pieces comprising the earrings, traditional jhumkas, heavy necklaces, nose rings, bangles, rings, armlets, maang-tikkas and of course the much-talked about pendants and waist belts.

Let’s walk you through some of the Baahubali inspired jewellery ideas to infuse a tinge of royalty and grandeur to your personality too!

Pendants and Necklaces for Men

Whoever said jewellery are for women are so wrong! Remember the mystical Shiva pendant worn by Baahubali? A perfect accessory for a man who wants to make a statement. It would go perfectly with any traditional attire such as a kurta-pyjama or even along with kurta-mundu set.

Also, drawing inspiration from the Shiva lingam pendant, you could go for trishul pendants, Om pendants, Ganesha pendant, and lots of other similar pendant design choices. Whether you want a pendant for you or for your kids, Baahubali serves as a great inspiration for pendant ideas that are not only cool but also religious and stylish, all at the same time.

But, pendant is one of the many jewellery trends that Baahubali started. It inspired men to look at jewellery in a different way. The movie made jewellery look cool on men, with the awe-inspiring collection of simple yet classy necklaces worn by Baahubali, Bhallala Deva and all the other male royalty in the movie. Our favourite is this simple but heavy beaded 3-layered chain. Gentlemen, it’s sure to make heads turn in any traditional event you attend!

The Vines, Leaves and the Foliage!

The jewellery used in the Baahubali series took inspiration from a whole lot of things including nature and tradition, and what made us truly awestruck were the designs inspired by the flowers and leaves.

Tamannaah’s rose vine necklace is one of the many outstanding jewellery pieces worn in the movie which simply stands out for its beauty, intricate design and most importantly, its simplicity. The design is the most commonly found rose vine yet the necklace looks so unique and one-of-a-kind. Why not get a chain, ring, bracelet, earrings and a necklace even, that’s based on this design? A brilliant theme for your wedding jewellery, too!
