An Unique baby shower can be one of the most memorable pregnancy milestones. Shower games that quiz the guests of honor are fun because it engages mom and dad while entertaining everyone else.  Ask the expecting parents questions separately (e.g. “Who will your baby look like?” “Where were you when you found out the news?”) and then do a Newlywed Game-style reveal.

Baby Food Challenge 

This game may sound gross, but it’s fun to see how well family, friends and parents know their baby food flavors. Prepare a few kinds of baby food and have your guests taste them and guess the name of each. Watch those facial expressions and enjoy 🙂 make sure to peel off the labels and write down which numbers correspond to each jar as your answer key.  Take turns coming up to the table and give them spoons to taste test the jar and write down the number on the jar and what flavor they think that jar is. After everyone writes down their answers, call out the numbers with the correct flavors. The person who guessed the most flavors correctly, wins.

Spin The Baby Bottle

This is the baby version of truth and dare 🙂 You can pin a paper bottle onto a rounded cardboard with funny challenges written on it, or simply spin a baby bottle while the guests sit in a circle and throw some fun challenges.

Grilling The Dad to Be

Ask the dad-to-be a few questions about parenting on the day of the baby shower.  Examples: How many hours should a newborn sleep/ What to do if the baby is crying/ Do you think your baby will be born with a lot of hair/ When can a baby eat solid food?  Share the answers at the party. Results can be hilarious!

Guess How Many

To start you’ll need to fill a big baby bottle with colorful candies and have each guest try to guess how many pieces are inside.  Whoever guesses closest to the actual number is the winner.

 Make  sure to count the number of candies that you use.  At the end of the party, give a prize to whoever comes the closest.  Pastel M&Ms in pale pink, blue or both are great options.

Guess The Baby Animal

Create a list with the names of adult female animals with a blank space next to them.  Ask guests to write down the name of the baby animal. For example: Deer = fawn, Pig = piglet. No cellphone cheating allowed!  Print out these digital files and have everyone match the names of the babies to their mothers.  Some of these are actually pretty hard!

Who’s watching Baby?

As everyone arrives, they each get one baby.  The goal of the game is to hold on to your baby, but get anyone else’s, too. People are likely to accidentally drop their babies or put them down somewhere, and forget them.  That’s your opportunity to snatch it up. The person with the most babies wins.
